Yara Shahidi’s Best Looks

A new generation of talent is taking over the television industry. Among many of these talents is Yara Shahidi. The 20-year-old actress and activist is known for her role on ABC’s Black-ish and Freeform’s Grown-ish, playing a fashion student at Cal-U.
From her looks on screen to the Met Gala, to gracing the cover of major fashion publications like ELLE, Harper’s Baazar, and Cosmopolitan, Shahidi has been killing it in the fashion and beauty game. Here are some of our favorite looks by this style icon in the making!
Fashion

Yara Shahidi channels her inner golden girl, wearing a gold Chanel blazer and dress paired with gold heels at the Chanel Metiers d’art show. The actress is an ambassador for Chanel and was featured in a short film wearing her gold Chanel ensemble while running down the halls of the Chanel boutique in Paris.
Stylist, Jason Bolden put Shahidi in Marc Jacobs in a look inspired by the character Whitley Gilbert in A Different World. Bolden paired a white fuzzy sweater, with white heels, green, flowy, polka dot pants, and gold jewelry.
Shahidi attended Milan Fashion Week last week in a gorgeous, gold Gucci dress with black, thigh-high heeled boots. This look was put together by her stylist Jason Bolden. A pair of pearl earrings, pink sunglasses, and gold jewelry accompanied this look. For hair and makeup, Shahidi went with a high ponytail with swooped edges and black eyeliner above the eyelids.

Makeup

Just recently, Shahidi hit the red carpet for the Naacp Image Awards, going for a glowy, fresh makeup look. Makeup artist, Emily Cheng, gave Shahidi a more natural look with a flick of gorgeous blue eyeliner. Makeup artist, Emily Cheng, gave Shahidi another natural look, paired with red-winged eyeliner. The actress is wearing makeup by Bobbi Brown and is an ambassador for the makeup brand. n this rainbow-inspired makeup look, Shahidi goes for a variety of different color eyeshadows and liner. She pairs her rainbow color eyelids with a yellow liner under her eyelids and blue eyebrows.

Hair

Both on and off-screen, Shahidi is known for having some of the most killer hairstyles, with the help of Grown-ish hairstylist, Tinisha Meeks. For her hair, Shahidi goes for her natural, bouncy curls. She does a half-up, half-down style, showing off her curls in natural light.
In this hairstyle, Shahidi’s curved braids compliment her natural hair. The curved braids with brown and black beads go perfectly with her curly bun.
In this hairstyle, which was featured on Grown-ish, Meeks decides on a decorative ponytail for Shahidi. The stylist places curly extensions at the bottom of the ponytail and wraps the hair in a gold ribbon for detail.
