Vogue celebrates 130 years in fashion
The event: On September 12, Vogue will celebrate its 130th birthday with a global fashion event, “Vogue World.” This occasion celebrates new attitudes, personalities, and influences shaping fashion today. It entails a live runway show featuring fall 2022 collections inspired by fashion’s new world and a street fair experience. According to editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, “New York is the perfect place for this— a city as dynamic and revitalized as fashion is today.”
How to join: If you’re in the city, you can purchase a pass or live stream wherever you are.
Afterpay’s NFTs Unlock Access to Runway Shows
The event: Afterpay teamed up with five designers for an exclusive NFT drop that unlocks upgraded access to NYFW. Kim Shui, Jonathan Simkhai, anOnlyChild, The Blonds, and ALTU created keys that grant customers access to the “phygital” product but also their runway shows and limited-edition products. This approach sparks a new level of engagement as the digital and physical experience is brought together for consumers and designers. All proceeds go towards Free Arts NYC, a non-profit organization that empowers youth in underserved communities through art and mentoring programs.
How to join: Purchase an NFT on Afterpay for a chance to unlock access to runway shows and limited-edition products.
