Marvin Revells, Creative Director of 3NY
About the episode
Marvin Revells is the creative director behind 3NY-a women’s clothing boutique based out of Soho, NYC. For over a decade, 3NY buyers and associates have offered international clients curated, contemporary pieces from the fashion industry’s up-and-coming designers. Revells secured some of the brand’s most successful franchise partnerships, Greedilous and Pushbutton, within his ten years at the company.
Revells’ journey in the fashion industry began at the age of 16 when he was a sales associate at the Gap, studying the storefronts of Gucci and Christian Lacroix during his lunch breaks.
Revells joins Mariah Thomas to discuss what it’s like to be a Black man in the fashion industry and how companies can improve diversity and performative action initiatives.
