How To Stay Chic While Traveling
By: Madison Arend
Travel restrictions are slowly lifting and many of us are ready for a vacation. However, with being stuck inside for over a year, it can be difficult to decide what to wear while traveling again. Travel can be tiring and uncomfortable but that doesn’t mean your style has to suffer. Here are four tips to stay looking sharp on the go.
Slip-on shoes

Traveling can be stressful, especially air travel. TSA is always busy, therefore, keeping the pieces in your outfit simple, is key. Shoes that slip on and off easily will keep your time at TSA to a minimum. Our favorite chic slip-on shoes include Rouje mules, Alexa Chung Mary Janes, and H&M sandals as a cheaper alternative to Chanel’s.
Layers

Airports and airplanes are notorious for being cold. Bringing a statement jacket or scarf to layer over your outfit is a simple way to stay looking chic while keeping warm. Blazers in particular are easy to layer and an instant way to look more put together. These lightweight pieces are perfect to wear while in transit and are easy to slip into your bag once you are at your destination. Shop chic blazers from Mango here.
Breathable pants

With airplane temperatures constantly in flux, long pants are a must! Materials like linen are stylish for day-to-day wear, however, when sitting in a car, train, or plane for hours the wrinkles can leave you looking disheveled. Stick to breathable smooth materials such as polyester, cashmere, or spandex. Try vegan leather pants like these from Free People or slit ribbed leggings from Zara.
Hats

Hats are a great way to hide your in-flight bed head and make tired eyes less noticeable. Not only does it help conceal imperfections but is an easy accessory to instantly elevate any outfit. Our current favorite hats include this Anine Bing cap and Aritzia bucket hat.
