Gucci Mane is Finally the Face of Gucci
By: Valeria Ramos
The latest fashion collab in the press is one that’s been a long time coming.
Rapper Gucci Mane is the new face of Gucci’s Cruise 2020 collection. The #ComeAsYouAre_RSVP campaign was released two days after #GucciMane unveiled the cover art for his upcoming album Woptober II – a sequel to his October 2016 album Woptober.
Gucci Mane’s forthcoming album cover is an image from the campaign and his record features the recent single Richer Than Errbody.
The Gucci ad was shot by Harmony Korine at Villa La Furibonda and creatively directed by Alessandro Michele. The rapper joins Iggy Pop and Sienna Miller in the vibrant spring/summer campaign, celebrating the party life.
“Gucci is a party, and everyone is invited,” said the brand’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele. “It’s playful, liberated, libertarian, and also inclusive, hedonist and uninhibited.”
