By: Lauryn Jiles
Halloween is looking a little different this year. Due to the current situation of the world, many people are swapping their trick-or-treating and partying for a night at home watching scary movies.
Although the coronavirus has taken over our lives this year, we can still have fun this Halloween by dressing up at home with friends and family. If you need some costume inspiration, we’ve got you covered! Here are five Halloween costume ideas inspired by some of our favorite characters on screen.
The Cheetah Girls

If you and your girl group are looking for a group costume, The Cheetah Girls are perfect for you! Whether you’re dressing as Galleria, Chanel, Aqua, or Dorinda, you’re sure to be the best-dressed group at any event you show up to! For these looks, you’ll need some tracksuits in hot pink, baby blue, lavender, and orange with matching headbands. For a more “cheetah-licious” look, go for white tops and accessorize with cheetah print patterns, and gold jewelry Tracksuits are available for purchase from Baby Phat, Dolls Kill, and Pretty Little Thing.
Suki: 2 Fast 2 Furious

Suki is a popular character from the Fast and Furious series, known for her iconic pink outfits that match her pink car, and for her serious street racing skills. To recreate Suki’s look, layer pink and purple cropped tank tops paired with denim shorts and hot pink ripped pants. For the second and third looks, pair a cropped white top with hot pink pants or a plaid skirt and a black belt. You can also DIY any of these outfits by dying some tank tops or lace-up pants hot pink.
Bulma: Dragon Ball Z

Bulma is a popular character from the Dragon Ball franchise and recreating this look is just as simple as it is cute! You’ll need a pink Bulma shirt, which is available at Hot Topic or Amazon, a blue fanny back, a purple bandana, a red wristband or bracelet, and a brown glove. If you want to take the extra step and have the same hairstyle, you can either dye your hair blue and braid it, or wear a blue wig with a red bow.
Euphoria characters

While Euphoria is known for its drama, fans also love the fashion and makeup looks in the show. Whether you want to go for a full-on glam look dressing up as Jules, Maddy, or Cassie, or keep it simple dressing as Rue, here are a few of the most popular looks from the show.
- Maddy: For the purple set Maddy wore in Episode 4, visit I Am Gia, and for Maddy’s baby pink hoodie and skirt set, visit Akna.
- Cassie: Cassie’s Alabama Whirley Halloween costume from Episode 6 is another popular look from the show. You can find the same skirt on Dolls Kill and the bra and belt are available at Nordstrom and on Amazon.
- Jules: Jules’ looks throughout the show are very girly and comparable to the characters of the popular anime, Sailor Moon. Jules often wears bright colors and tennis skirts throughout the series. To recreate a few of her looks above, you’ll need dramatic lashes, also from the brand Dolls Kill, and a plaid purple skirt paired with a light purple top layered over a long-sleeve white shirt.
- Rue: Rue’s looks throughout the series are more simple and tomboyish, typically consisting of jackets, oversized shirts, and bike shorts. If you want to dress up as detective Rue from Episode 7, you’ll need brown pants, a brown belt, suspenders, and a white tank top. For Rue’s signature look, opt for a red jacket, her green tie-dye alien shirt from Farfetch, and black bike shorts.
Todoroki: My Hero Academia

For the past decade, Anime has become extremely popular in the United States, with shows like My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, and Attack on Titan becoming fan favorites. With his fire and ice powers in the popular anime, My Hero Academia, Todoroki quickly became a fan-favorite character and a popular costume choice for both cosplay and Halloween. For Paper Magazine’s August 2019 cover, Megan Thee Stallion dressed up as Todoroki, giving us major costume inspiration while expressing her love for Anime and the series. To recreate this look, you’ll need a white and red wig, red eye makeup, and a blue jumpsuit. You can also opt for a dark blue long sleeve shirt with a pleated shirt or a dark blue dress.
