There are many assets to the fashion industry, which means that there’s a lot to learn about. With so many outlets at our disposal, I’ve found YouTube to be the most engaging and enjoyable way to learn about the industry. Over the past three years of doing endless research for my own enjoyment and knowledge, I’ve discovered multiple channels that talk about fashion in a way that’s both easy to understand and educational. If you’re interested in learning more about fashion on multiple levels, these are the top five fashion-centric YouTube channels you should subscribe to.
The Fashion Archive

Interested in watching concise videos on the fashion industry of the past and present? Look no further than The Fashion Archive! Odunayo Ojo’s channel is the perfect beginner’s guide to fashion and great for keeping up with the happenings of the industry.
From “How The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp Became A Fashion Powerhouse” to overviews of designer’s career paths and “How The Dior Saddle Bag Became A Cult Classic (Brief History),” Ojo covers different aspects of the industry with educational precision and insight that’s easy to comprehend and enjoyable to watch.
Haute Le Mode

Haute Le Mode is a fashion channel dedicated to informing viewers about the ins and outs of the fashion industry, from the runway and red carpet reviews/roasts to informative videos on fashion history and general industry knowledge. Meagher informs audiences about the industry through memes and hilarious commentary met with critical attention to detail that makes fashion’s exclusive exterior more relatable.

Known for his analysis of runway shows such as Margiela, Raf Simons, and most recently Louis Vuitton, Bliss Foster’s YouTube channel is an incredible resource for the history of runway shows. Providing in-depth studies of historic runway shows, and explaining their significance, Foster presents information in a way that’s analytical yet easy to comprehend. His live stream discussions on fashion and the comments section of his videos are also very insightful. Foster recently caught the eye of Louis Vuitton’s current Menswear Creative Director, Virgil Abloh, and was gifted the show notes from Abloh’s debut runway show.

Model-turned TV presenter-turned fashion It Girl-turned designer, Alexa Chung has combined all of her former and current careers into one with her YouTube channel. First showcasing her fashion knowledge in the British Vogue YouTube series Future of Fashion, Chung debuted her channel in August 2018. From an inside look at Dior’s haute couture atelier to creating her Met Gala look and witty style videos, Chung’s YouTube channel is great for those who want an inside look at the industry from fashion’s British bestie.
