3 Must-Have Dresses for Spring
By: Valeria Ramos
Spring fashion brings out a light, girly aesthetic in the fashion world that is often abandoned during the winter months. For those of us experiencing warmer weather, gone are the heavy overcoats and trusty boots we relied on for what felt like forever. As spring approaches, I find myself gravitating toward breezy fabrics, light colors, and anything that looks like could be worn by someone prancing around in a meadow.
While strappy tops, cropped blouses, and flowy skirts are all spring wardrobe essentials, there is one classic staple we all associate with this time of the year, and that is the spring dress. No matter your personal style, there is a spring dress out there for you. We’ve covered three of our favorite dress styles that are completely customizable through styling!
Arguably the most popular spring wardrobe staple, the wrap dress is an iconic shape that you can get a wear out of all year long, not just in spring. The flowy skirt of this dress brings playfulness to any outfit, while the wrap adds a hint of sexy and sophistication. Pair this with strappy heels for a feminine look or go edgy with a pair of combat boots, a hat, and a jacket.
The next spring must-have on our list is an off-the-shoulder dress. I am a fan of almost everything off-the-shoulder because it is such a simple and subtle way to create an elegant yet flirty look. The best part about an off-the-shoulder dress is that it can be just as casual as it can be dressy. Pair it with sneakers for a laid-back, cool-girl vibe or go with your best heels to glam it up. In addition, accessorizing with dainty jewelry can highlight the charm of this look.
Finally, the spring staple that is made for meadow prancing—the maxi dress. I know what you’re thinking, “how can you prance in a maxi dress?” The key to finding the least restriction in these kinds of dresses is all about the fabric and the slit. Not only will this allow you to show some leg, but it also makes these dresses really comfortable and wearable. Similar to the off-the-shoulder, I like pairing these with a sneaker and jacket for a casual day look and sandals for a dressier option.
